Even though it might be a little too small city for me, I have to recognize that Bonn has pretty charming little corners and places. One of my favorite ones is the market located at the city's main square.
Surrounded by the Old City Hall and interesting stores, such as the bookstore Thalia (the second most beautiful one I've seen after El Ateneo bookstore in Buenos Aires), Bonn's market it's a place that makes me happy just by walking around and looking at it.The Gemüse (vegetables in German) are always fresh and the sellers always offer way much better prices than the regular supermarkets. To me, the colors of all the stuff together are a party itself.
Sometimes this party, that also includes several exotic fruits from Latin America, makes me miss Caracas a little bit, makes me nostalgic. Specifically, makes me remember my way to the subway station in Caricuao, where every morning, trucks coming from all over the country unload their fresh fruits and vegetables to the little market of my area. And the smell of coriander and fresh tangerines...
Today I got a pineapple here in Bonn, and sometimes I get mangos and strawberries to blend and have a fresh juice as the ones my grandmother Ysabel used to make for me when I was a kid.
I like going to Bonn's market because it reminds me the market I go every weekend in Venezuela, and that's home. I just wish I could go without wearing two sweaters and one jacket. I can't wait for the spring to get here.

Two sweaters?? Andrea, this is not Sibiria.... we got 12 degrees outside, even by night temperatures are not under 0 that time....
